The Water's Fine ... Just Don't Eat the Pizza

So, as I'm writing this post, I am laying in my bed nursing a nice little gastronomical infection. Yep, that's right! Food poisoning. Lance and I started feeling ill last night and eventually went to the hospital this morning to see a doctor. He told us that we had food poisoning and gave us a boatload of medicine to take. The best part is that we have to get 4 shots of an antibiotic! We had the first one this morning and my rear end is a bit sore. The next one comes at about 10:00 tonight. Yay. Believe it or not, the cause is believed to be pizza from Domino's. Oh well ... I guess I won't be eating there for a while.

However, before we got sick, we were having a great day! We left early in the morning to go to the Mummy Museum. That place was just disgusting. You would think that the mummies would be old, say from the time of the Aztecs. Oh no! They are anywhere from 100 to 30 years old! Gross! Just look for yourself.

After that, the depression continued. We went to Hacienda del Cochero which was used for torturing enemies of the Spanish colonial government. It was pretty, however.

After the torture house, we went to the mining town of Valenciana. There, we toured an old silver mine and saw a beautiful church.

Once we returned to Guanajuato, Lance and I headed to Domino's (aka Bad Food Central)in Plaza de la Paz before going to the mall to look around and see a movie. We shopped around in "Mega" which is like a Mexican WalMart Supercenter. After poking around in there, we headed to the theater upstairs and saw "What happens in Vegas..." COMPLETELY in Spanish. I was proud of myself because I could understand it! Woop woop!

Okay, so now its back to my liquid food diet and bed rest. My, this is a wonderful start to the week. It can only get better from here!
